A Legendary fuses a maxed weapon with its secret partner perk. The Legendary moves into one of 2 gold slots and frees both of the slots it came from, so it is pure extra power: the weapon keeps firing at full strength and the perk keeps working.
How to forge one
- Raise a weapon to level 8 and its partner perk to its max level in the same shift. The recipes are secret.
- From noon on, defeat a boss. Bosses can drop a Golden Crate. Your very first Golden Crate is guaranteed; after that, about 33% of eligible bosses drop one, and luck raises the odds.
- Open it. A gold pillar of light rises and the PA announces your promotion to LEGENDARY status.
Hints
You don't have to guess blindly. When you hold half of a recipe, the game drops a cryptic hint mid shift. The in-game Handbook lists every Legendary you have not found yet, each with its hint.
Discovery bonuses
The first time you forge each Legendary, you earn a small bonus that applies to every future shift. There are 3 Office Legends to discover right now:
