Every employee can Combat Roll: press Space or Shift (the roll button on phones) to roll through danger with a short moment of invulnerability. The roll is ready once every 20 seconds for everyone, and nothing makes it faster. What your car changes is how the roll ends.
Roll styles
Without a car you simply roll. Each car unlocks a style, and every style is a different tool rather than a straight upgrade:
| Car | Style | Needs | Price | What happens after the roll |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ๐๏ธ Go-Kart | Zip | Fixer-Upper | $3,000 | your Combat Roll ends in a 1 second burst of speed (+60%). |
| ๐ Family Sedan | Cruise | Suburban Home | $6,000 | your Combat Roll ends in 4 seconds of easy speed (+25%). |
| ๐ Sports Coupe | Drift | Mansion | $12,000 | steer your Combat Roll mid air, then 2 seconds of speed (+40%). |
| ๐ Hypercar | Burnout | Private Island | $22,000 | no extra speed, but your Combat Roll ends in a shockwave that clears the ring around you. |
Switching styles
The car parked in your driveway decides your style. Once you own a car, you can switch to the look of any car you have reached for free, so you can go back to an earlier style whenever it suits your build.
When each style shines
- ๐๏ธ Zip: Short and sharp: the burst gets you out of a closing circle.
- ๐ Cruise: Long, easy speed for kiting the horde in wide loops.
- ๐ Drift: Steer the roll itself, then accelerate. The best one for slipping between a boss and its minions.
- ๐ Burnout: No speed at all, but the shockwave clears the ring around you. Roll into the crowd, not away from it.
Your car also pulls up to drop you off at the start of every shift. More about your home โ
